Martha Weeks Daniel graduated from St. Mary's School in Raleigh NC and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in art education. Married after graduation, husband Curt entered the Air Force, and she taught art to children while they lived in San Antonio, Texas, Selma, Alabama, Merced California, and Puerto Rico. They returned to North Carolina where Martha started her advertising, web and graphic design business, turning it into an award winning company. She received an award as one of five Outstanding Young Women of North Carolina by the NC Jaycettes and the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce Small Business Woman of the Year Award In addition, Martha served as a member of the board of directors of several area civic and community organizations and on the board of visitors and the University of North Carolina at Chapel HIll..

In 2003, she began attending classes at the Center for Documentary studies at Duke University where she found her passion for Documentary filmmaking. After 2 years, she received her Certificate in Documentary Studies at Duke University.

Edward "Curt" Daniel graduated from North Carolina State University and has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. As an officer and pilot, he spent 7 years with the US Air Force and was Squadron Wing Commander of the 82nd Strategic Air Command Wing during his 4 year tour of duty in Puerto Rico at Ramey AF Base. He also flew combat refueling missions  over Vietnam and Cambodia during tours of duty in Southeast Asia. After Air Force years, he was an early adapter of computers, and worked in the computer industry for more than 25 years. Upon his retirement, he  joined Martha at Daniel Design and added his interest and expertise in technology. This has been a perfect match in every aspect, especially in web design and documentary film-making. He has honed his skills with filming and editing as well as being a master in any software or network troubleshooting.
